Dr. Simon Hsu currently serves as President of AUO Mobility Solutions, overseeing the company’s strategic direction and long-term business development. He leads the advancement of smart cockpit and mobility solutions by integrating capabilities in display technologies, in-cabin climate control, and human-machine interface (HMI) systems. 

In line with the transition toward software- and AI-defined vehicles, he is guiding the company’s development across three core areas—Display and HMI, Computing, and Connectivity—to strengthen competitive differentiation and create new opportunities alongside customers in the rapidly evolving global automotive industry. 

With more than 20 years of experience in display technologies and automotive applications, Dr. Hsu combines deep technical expertise, patent-driven innovation, and strong market insight. Having worked extensively in the highly mature European automotive market, he has built long-standing partnerships with global automakers, Tier-1 suppliers, and technology providers. His comprehensive understanding of quality standards, reliability requirements, and automotive supply chain operations enables him to translate technology innovation into competitive product portfolios and sustainable business models, accelerating the global adoption of automotive display and smart cockpit solutions. 

Bringing together international business leadership and cross-disciplinary technology integration expertise, Dr. Hsu has held key roles spanning R&D, product strategy, and business development throughout his career at AUO. His experience covers both consumer and automotive display businesses, where he has led critical technology initiatives and strategic programs, demonstrating a proven ability to bridge innovation, commercialization, and market expansion. 

Dr. Simon Hsu holds a Ph.D. in Photonics and Optoelectronics from National Taiwan University.

Hong-Jye Hong currently serves as Senior Vice President of Mobility Solutions Product Development at AUO Mobility Solutions. He is responsible for defining the company’s technology strategy and platform architecture. Leveraging his expertise in display technologies and automotive human-machine interface (HMI) systems, he drives the development of smart cockpit and mobility solution platforms, strengthening the company’s competitive advantages in safety, system integration, and manufacturing readiness. 

With more than 30 years of experience in display technologies, Hong-Jye began his career in flat-panel display research at the Electronics Research and Service Organization (ERSO) of ITRI. Since joining AUO in 2001, he has held a series of key positions in product development and technology management, playing an instrumental role in shaping technology roadmaps and advancing core innovations. By integrating AUO’s display expertise and related technologies with mobility applications, he has helped establish the technological foundation that supports AUO Mobility Solutions’ long-term development. 

Taking a platform-oriented approach, Hong-Jye brings together automotive systems and key technologies to accelerate the evolution of smart cockpit solutions from standalone products into scalable and replicable integrated platforms. His efforts enable the company to address the diverse and evolving requirements of the global automotive industry. 

As AI continues to reshape the future of mobility, Hong-Jye drives the application of AI across human-machine interaction, system design, and product evolution. Through a forward-looking technology strategy, he continues to strengthen AUO Mobility Solutions’ innovation capabilities and advance next-generation products and solutions for the global automotive market. 

Hong-Jye Hong holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, USA.

Dr. Ralph Trapp serves as Vice President of Automotive Product Development at AUO Mobility Solutions, where he leads the company’s global R&D organization and drives the development of innovative technologies for next-generation mobility solutions. 

With more than 25 years of leadership experience in automotive innovation, Dr. Trapp has played a key role in advancing human-machine interface (HMI), cockpit, and display technologies. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary engineering teams, guided technology roadmaps, and translated customer requirements into market-leading products.

Before assuming his current role at AUO Mobility Solutions, Dr. Trapp held several senior R&D leadership positions at Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC), including Executive Vice President Research & Development, demonstrating extensive leadership experience in engineering and product development. His expertise spans advanced engineering, product development, and technology strategy, contributing significantly to the company’s product innovation and engineering excellence. 

Dr. Ralph Trapp earned his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Paderborn, Germany.

Bernd Kuhlhoff is Vice President of Worldwide Sales at AUO Mobility Solutions. In this role, he leads the company's global sales organization and drives the strategic development of customer relationships as well as business growth across international automotive markets. 

With more than 25 years of experience in sales, business development, and strategic management within the automotive industry, Bernd has extensive expertise in working with global OEMs. Throughout his career, he has built and led international sales teams, developed growth strategies, and successfully driven business expansion across key global markets. 

Prior to assuming his current position at AUO Mobility Solutions, Bernd held various leadership positions at HELLA and BHTC. His international experience includes sales and business development assignments in China and Japan, as well as global sales leadership at BHTC. He played a key role in the company's strategic transformation from a climate control specialist to a leading provider of display and HMI solutions, contributing significantly to its long-term growth and international expansion. 

Bernd Kuhlhoff holds a degree in International Management and Business Computing from the University of Paderborn and an MBA from Rutgers University (USA).

Andreas Wittko is Vice President of Display HMI at AUO Mobility Solutions, where he is responsible for the company’s global Display HMI business. In this role, he drives the strategic direction of the portfolio and shapes the development of innovative display and cockpit solutions for the mobility of tomorrow. 

With more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, Andreas brings extensive expertise in display technologies, product innovation, and international OEM partnerships. Before joining AUO Mobility Solutions, he spent more than two decades at Mercedes-Benz, holding a variety of specialist and leadership positions in Research and Development. During this time, he played a key role in the development and implementation of advanced display technologies across multiple vehicle platforms. 

Since joining AUO Group in 2023, Andreas first led OEM Business Development and Strategy before assuming leadership of the Display HMI product line. Leveraging his strong customer focus, deep technological expertise, and passion for innovation, he continues to advance the development of intelligent user experiences and next-generation cockpit solutions. 

Andreas Wittko holds a master’s degree in digital media from Furtwangen University.
