The Adaptive Climate module uses AI-based methods to recognize individual comfort preferences and personalize the climate experience for each passenger. By combining measurable environmental conditions with multiple data sources and machine-learning algorithms, the system continuously adapts climate behavior to individual needs — creating a more comfortable, intelligent, and personalized journey. At the same time, OEMs benefit from a scalable software solution that reduces calibration effort, supports faster development, helps minimize test drives, and enables differentiated comfort experiences across vehicle platforms.

Replace Hardware with Intelligent Software
Virtual Sensors
Virtual Sensors use neural networks to digitally reconstruct measurement data that would normally require dedicated physical sensors, such as discharge air temperature. By replacing or supplementing hardware sensors with software-based signals, Smart Climate Control helps reduce system complexity, lower costs, and improve passenger comfort. In addition, Virtual Sensors can provide sensor values in areas where physical sensors are not feasible, not cost-effective, or not intended by design, enabling more detailed climate information without additional hardware.

Comfort Functions
Smart Climate Control enables individual comfort settings for different vehicle interiors and multiple climate-controlled zones. One Software Platform for Efficient Climate Control
Thermal Management
Smart Climate Control Thermal Management is configurable for different vehicle architectures and thermal circuit layouts. The system provides heating and cooling capacity for the vehicle interior as well as energy-consuming components such as the battery and other connected systems. Based on efficient operating modes and OEM-specific strategies, it determines how thermal energy can be generated, distributed, or reused in the most effective way. This enables fast and optimized heating or cooling, supports efficient preconditioning, and helps reduce overall energy demand.

Software as Product
Our software is delivered as a fully integrated product directly onto your target system, providing maximum flexibility, control, and independence. You benefit from seamless integration into your existing system landscape as well as from individually adaptable interfaces and functionalities. Development is carried out in accordance with Automotive SPICE Level 2, including systematic verification and testing on the target system. This ensures that our software is not only compliant with standards, but also robust, maintainable, and designed for series production applications.

Climate Panels
The company develops and manufactures high‑quality climate control panels for automotive applications – ranging from simple, functional solutions to highly complex premium panels for multi‑zone climate systems. These solutions combine precise climate control with exceptionally intuitive and comfortable operation. Modern displays, well‑designed haptics, and clear user interfaces ensure that climate functions can be adjusted quickly, safely, and intuitively. The panels are designed for various vehicle classes and system architectures and can be flexibly integrated into modern cockpit concepts.

Power Electronics
Next to algorithms and sensors, electric auxiliary heaters and blower controllers play a significant role in vehicle climate control. They are among the high-power consumers in the power electronics sector. This makes it even more important to control them efficiently and intelligently on a top-quality level. Depending on the temperature and air flow requirements, blowers and electric auxiliary heaters can be adapted smoothly to the respective conditions using BHTC power electronics.

Climate Sensors: the sensory organs of climate control
Sensors supply the input signals for controlling the level of climate comfort. Sensible and robust detection of ambient conditions forms the basis for perfect climate control. The best example of BHTC's pioneering role is the ITOS® non-ventilated interior temperature sensor which, as the world market leader, the company has been using in series since 2002 and is now in its third generation.
